Lost soul in Highett!?

Who owns this poor fella? Found her today on my way to a job! It's a JA, but it seems to be one of these JA Mk2 models (With the retractable aerial at the back, etc). Body is dead straight, complete car, missing both side windows and rear little qtr window! Interior is there, but a bit trashed (no windows won't help)! Was going to lift the hood, but I thought a bit of courtesy wouldn't go astray as it's not mine!!! This could be an awesome project car...

should door knock on the units find out who owns it offer them 100$ and ull probably have a spares car :) then take the turbo off and mail it too me! :D

Ok, went and spoke to the bloke who owns it...and he's an active Austarion member!:D

Car is\was a project car, owner is still undecided on whether to let her go or do her up. He is currently tied up in another project which is not a Starion, but I have first dibs if he sells!
Car is complete! Originally from WA, has forged piston engine and TD06 turbo( I think) but blew a head gasket after only 100Kms! Stock everything else, but did have an intercooler in it! Rust in the usual places, as it has sadly been neglected, some areas are kinda bad\scary! It is the JA (Mk2) as it also has a fuel cap release next to the boot release! I was impressed with that!!!

So I'll let you know of any updates as the develop! :beer

UPDATE:

Sadly this poor fella died on the weekend!

After a heap of messing around, I finally went and got the car and brought it back for a thorough inspection! Rust was minimal, but... it was deep and in all the spots you dont want it! Firewall, entire rear left at the hatch, guards, base of doors etc. Completely eaten through!

Anyway all that was left was to salvage what we could!
There were NO forged pistons, just standard ones with a big hole

Basically the rest of the car went to the masses! A few of the boys helped and took what they wanted, most walking away quite happy! I managed to secure a few needed parts including a passenger mirror, the cluster cover (with the pictures still clear) and a couple of other bits and pieces!

Car had a tow bar!?

Anyway here's the final moments... and no there was nothing of use left in it! Trust me!
