WTB - MAP Sensor
I've already replaced it once but it turned out to be a dud too. I'm looking for one that hasn't been outside for years or is known to work OK.

MAP Sensor
More details:
It's a JA. The original MAP Sensor had a number 'X5T20177'. The one I have in it now is 'E1T15171'. I think that was from a JB. I'd prefer a working JA one but it is probably OK from a JB.
I'm in NSW, Kiama, but I'm reasonably sure that Ausy post deliver from WA
regards, David
How much for the JB one (+postage)

My mechanic opened the MAP Sensors and checked out connections etc and serviced what he could. He thought that moisture had got inside. When first replaced the car seemed to be fixed but intermittently behaves faulty. It is as if the 'choke' is pulled out. So the injectors are being opened for some reason and flooding it. Turning it off and restarting often fixes it.
When the problem isn't there it runs really well and is otherwise in great condition. The Injectors are genuine JA and are near new and the turbo is near new.
I suspect a sensor with an intermitent fault but my mechanic and another Starion 'guru' mechanic (recommended to me) both keep suspecting the MAP sensor (though the latter diagnosed it over the phone as he is 2 hours away).
I may have been unlucky that I bought a faulty replacement but I am not a great believer in coinsidences.
They are probably right but I'm open to suggestions.
