hey guys trying to figure why i have a huge flat spot on boost
so do our stazzas have knock sensors or was it only on the 4g63 that they do?
ciao lee ok now also if the motor is quite noisey ie lifters are a bit sticky would the sensor pick this up and retard the timing

Yes they have knock sensors (since they are 4G63 after all), it should be sitting right of the engine block with a fairly big wiring harness sticking out the top of it. Should either be a silver box or a black plastic box.

dash knock sensor is on the side of the engine block, dash ecu takes care of ignition timing issues related to the det sensor. Stock cords and stazs use a ignition moduel mounted on fire wall. Haynes manuals with dash info, is there such a thing. info on dash engines not easy to come by.

You wont find any DASH info in a Haynes manual.
I have a few bits and pieces on the DASH I can email me if you pm me your email address (not a hotmail address).

I'd do almost anything to get my hands on that factory DASH manual, especially if it's in english. Keep us posted!

sorry, i mean factory dash wiring diagrams, not an entire manual. and IIRC it wasnt originally in english, but the guy used it to wire my loom so im guessing it has been translated at one point or another.
