Strange for me, not sure what is about my car but 3000rpm=100KPH, so top speed being 200KPH, not the 230 mentioned everywhere else. Could do 230, but I'd definately be over redline. Very puzzled.

You have a 3.9:1 diff, thats why. I had some super super tall tyres on mine and a 3.9:1 diff, that maxed out at around 220...

well, okay, redlined there and i wasent gonna take it over. but it had more in it.

I want a 3.5:1 LSD then, keep my revs even lower on the open road. Although being able to instantly boost in 5th gear is kinda neat.

how about the "4kmph top pushing speed" hat for the flintstoners without engines? like me :(

my old cordia went to 220, was ok at that speed, if you felt cocky you could drive with one hand on the wheel. I tried to steer with my knees to roll a smoke, but I kinda lost my nerve. using 2 lanes on the freeway to get around a "slight bend" kinda gets me worried :D

What if the best speed you can get is 69Kmh - do you get a hat with that on it?
Gerg, I feel that you have a rather unhealthy obsession around numbers such as above. Does GOTSOM know about this??? :)

This was all done on a private road of course, Darkelf.
Ahem, yes well, ummmmmmmmmmmm  It was a damn good piece of road. Put it that way!

Am thinking I may have to lift the boost a couple of pounds. The limiter is set to 6200 at the moment so I had a few revs in hand but the boost was getting near the limit.

The pic was actually the 2nd attempt the first was faster but we didn't have the camera out.

Anyone know about the air con at that speed? Would it have made a difference?

Sirius, the Elf is a JB except for the bonnet but I doubt that the diff would be any different.

Interesting about the revs with the diff. The Elf does around 2700@110 in 5th. I thought this was pretty much standard.
