If you spit a dummy big enough at them, then they will fix it at whatever cost for free and make sure they give you a hire car while they're taking their sweet time also.....
Computer games don't affect kids I mean if PacMan affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music :D

I've had 3 TC05-12 Jap Imports, no watercooling on any of them.

But anyway, you may just have a freak turbo, which is cool.

The oil lines are the ones going to the top of the turbo, and and out the base of the turbo. The water lines come out by the sides. (When mounted in factory position). If its definately a water pipe that is kinked, then its no drama, but if its an oil line then that could be very hazardous to your turbo.

If Mitsubishi refuse to help, I'd recommend getting a braided line to replace it. Fix it once, fix it right etc etc

Don't mean to steal the thread here but, do water cooled turbo hold much over solely oil cooled turbo's?

Or should I say, will NTX notice much if theres no water flowing through his turbo?

I believe the benefits of a water cooled turbo is they dont need a cool down time like a oil only cooled turbo.

I dont think you will notice that their is no water flowing through the turbo.

They still actually require a cooldown. Actually to the point Starions started coming out with watercooled turbos AND warning stickers on the doors stating a 60 second cooldown period is required.

The benefit is that they run a little cooler, the water cooling system is a lot more adequate than the oil cooling system, so if you're driving like a nut for long periods, you're oil temp would stay a bit lower because more of the heat is being drawn using the water. Well thats my theory anyway. I also notice the watercooled turbos seem to have a higher maximum turbine speed, and I'd imagine a longer lifespan.

last year I rang mitsubishi to get a quote for a new timing belt, after 5 mins, (he didn't know what a starion was) the guy came back with the price, $700 bucks, right there and then I decided I'd do it myself, man, these guys charge like brain surgeons. And the fact that he didn't know what a Starion was, is not a comforting thought, so if they're gonna be looking at the manual to pull it apart, so can I.. my hourly rate is cheaper too.. :D

this post might seem off topic but it's in reference to NTX-SWB's message
