1.1 - Remove existing fron airdam if it exists
1.2 - Measure up where the new airdam is going to sit in relation to the front bar. The tabs for the bolt holes should line up to the existing 2 on each side that are used for the JA airdam, and the 3rd tab (closest to the front) should line up to the screws that are on the bottom of the front bar. Use a marker if you want to make sure you get it right later to do some dots around the front corners of the airdam on the front bar
1.3 - Remove the front bar (there's 4 bolts on the chassis rails - 2 on each side, and a couple of screws underneath, and that's about it). Don't forget the indicators too!
Step 2 - Prepare the airdam
2.1 - Sand back the airdam
2.2 - Get Sheriff Rosco to paint it using the correct paint code as found in this topic: http://austarion.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4724
Step 3 - Remove the bumper support
3.1 - Remove the support/strengthening from the inside of the front bumper by undoing all the screws along the top and the bottom. You will need to bend the bumper a bit to get it out, so be careful is you have old paint as it may crack (best off just to give the bar a new coat of paint like i did anyway)
3.2 - Line up the airdam on the bumper to your marks and the bumper screw tabs and hold it in place with some masking tape
3.3 - Screw or drill in some bolts to hold it in place. We used 4 self drilling bolts on each side, but there's other (and nicer) ways to do this. You will need to make sure the bolts are very short in length and be careful not to drill them all the way through and out the other side of the airdam
3.4 - Put the bumper re-enforcement back in and with the airdam attached, put the car back together.
Much much better :D
A good mod if you have a starion intercooler as these wont fit with the standard JA front lip. Also gives you much more room if you want to fit a big aftermarket cooler
And the best bit - no more overbite!
