those lights ended up selling for 307usd
402 aussie dollars, and on top of that shipping .
mwahaha. i have a set of non modified quest lights coming from the states already payed 80 dolllars including shipping. rofl
i read they can be a bitch to get open, they cant be any worse than our ones, i managed to crack my ones open to do a clean up like that melbstaz guy did cos i could see moss growing along the bottom of them that was before i even started posting on austarion hehe.
so the next question is. whos cracked open quest lights and how hard is it, how did you do it, did you warp or crack them with too much heat.

If you look around, you can get the US lights a lot cheaper than that with the red lenses still installed. Problem is though, these lights were never designed to be clear so you will find that they won't be very visible if you do this. I decided just to take out the red indicator part (illegal anyway) and leave the rest as is.

I used a heat gun and heated the black sealer from the back black plastic side of the lights. They also have clips that must come apart. be very careful when unclipping them as they are part of the lens, so if they crack/break, they won't be any good.
Also, excercise alot of patience whilst doing this, don't rush it or the lens or clip(s) will crack. Don't heat the black sealant from the lens side or it will crack/melt.
Once the lens is off, just take out the red inner lens and refit the lens cover back on.
Also, use the Australian bulb holder in the US tail light as their braking and indicator wiring is different to ours.
