Do this and the steering will be considerably tighter.

Most problems seam 2 arise from the drag link rod, this is the only Tierod end that cant B replaces with out replacing the whole drag link unit, so most people think it's 2 hard & leave it, it can be fixed... check this 1st.... I am 99% sure it's yr problem. :beer :beer

The drag link rod (aka centre track rod) can be rebuilt if you know where to take it.

I went for a look yesterday scum.

One person who did it said 'look in my profile for my website for more information' but his profile is empty :( I did find another site linked from the same topics though.

I disconnected the power steering and it made the steering seem much more responsive. That's just me though. When it was connected, it seemed way to light. I like to feel where the car is going and what it's doing.

An easy way to check the Idler arm bushes is to grab the passenger front wheel while the car is on the ground and rock it in and out, like you are trying to turn the steering, and you will hear all sorts of clunks.
And I agree about the drag link rod, it's a big source of trouble, it has the most load on it because it has to move everything else.
