SOWTZ Beer review
SOWTZ Beer review
Being an avid drinker of the amber fluids, I consider myself to know a bit about beer. Now, I have tried most every mainstream beer available for sale in Victoria, and plenty of others. I stand by the fact that on a hot summers day the best drink is an ice cold Vic, it’s not the best beer but when it’s ice cold it comes mighty close. Comes in new 500ml cans too. I like the imports to, most have a flavour of there own, but at over $45 a slab it’s a fair dent in my pocket. Now last weekend I had some extra cash, so I decided to go a bit up market. I walk into the cold room of the local bottle’o and had a look at what they got. I look at this old looking brown box, read the label ‘VB Original Ale’ (Note: I have been looking for this since the day I heard VB was brining it out). Came in a carton of 18, so I had to get 2. F**KING AWESOME, best thing I have ever drunk and an added bonus, no pungent beer smell. If you like beer I strongly suggest you try this.

Really? I'm a beer conasure myself and appreciate a good drop. VB is definately lingering around the bottom of my list, next to XXXX Gold and Corona YUK!
I'm gonna give this "Original Ale" a go though cos another beer on my shit list is Tooheys, its farking awfull stuff but I cannot get enough of Tooheys Extra Dry. This has to be the best cheap Aussie beer around. So maybe VB Original Ale follows suit.

nashstyle, i recon its cause ive grown up on Vic's, + most beer is good when it is cold. as for Tooheys Extra Dry, a mate said to me try this, i slaped him(cause it was a Tooheys), tryed it anyways and yeah i like it price is good too. Vic OA is not cheap! bout $30 for 18.

Yeh its great stuff.
Has anyone tried Boag's St. George yet? I dont mind Boags Premium/Strongarm/Draught but not a massive fan, how does it compare?
On a side note, Boags had this special edition about 2 years ago, it was called honey malt or something, now that was very special beer :beer

The extra dry Kicks ass, So does Millers. I drink VB when im eating pizza as it goes well and not as bubbly. There are some pillsner beers that are good also, but when you have lived in Germany for a few years you get to know good beers from bad. We have some good beers here. I have also began drinking pure blonde beers which are a low cal beer with full taste. Not brilliant but still ok.
Blondes are my fav too :P .
Beer with meat can’t go wrong. I had this Italian beer, translate to ‘blue ribbon’ (I think), wile eating a meat platter man that was good, it went down so smooth, haven’t been able to find it for a wile, much to my disappointment :x .
Al… since when does an Aussie need an excuse to drink? Sure we make them up but we all know we don’t need to.
