IS MY CAR IS DIFFERENT?

Post by SOWTZ »

I have looked at well over a 1000 pics of Starions, on this and other forums, and also in search engines. And still mine is the only one I can find with a nudge bar. The closest thing I found was the old rally Starions with the big spoties on the frount, some of them have something like mine.
So I ask does anyone have or know of another Staz’ with a factory nudge bar still on it?

It isn't stock, and I have only ever seen one other with the same nudge bar. It is a yellow one that was being sold on the goldy

i think someone at the cruise said that it was a factory option. dont want to put him on the spot but it might have been flav.
and it was there before the wheels, got pics to prove it to.

I have seen a yellow JA with a similar looking nudge bar. I doubt that it is factory though. It may have been a dealer fitted aftermarket item as many of them are on new cars.

Yep, we used to fit these at the Kew Mitsubishi and Eastside Mitsubishi. There was quite alot fitted at the time but you never see them now days. A rare Item indeed, and may well prove that the car has never had a front end bingle....and they very were cool at the time! Your all just jealous pussys.

i might be wrong about this but i think that these type of cars might have been used for rallying :P
anyways i recon it will stay there till i have to take it off to fit a new front bar or till i get sick of it.
the only problem i see with it is my mates try to lift up my car with it, now if it can take 4 blokes trying to lift the front end, i recon it could take a fair bit of impact, not that i want to try it.

I say leave it there. You know the day you take it off will be the day an old lady in a Camry reverses into you in a carpark.
I liek to flutter.

Well to be truthful it came in handy today.
Parked at work, took keys out (I got an OLD school turbo timer in it, big arse thing in bad spot always bash my leg on it, cbf moving it, anyway…), forgot it was in gear, took my foot off the clutch, car runs into fence and stalls (lucky no one saw it), no damage done thanks to the nudge bar.
