Melbourne Cruise Wrap-Up and Photo's

Post by Chris 83JA »

Was a good cruise, didn't quite get the turn-out that was indicated on the forums, but you can't be disapointed with 12 :D

Edit: forgot to mention a big thanks to Flav who sacrificed his sleep in to help me with a last minute turbo swap over, then resurrect 2 more for the cruise. And to Rohan and Al for cooking, Luke for organising and Lee for providing the widebody and drinks at each stop :)

Great day definitely turned some heads, especially when we went through ‘bikerville’.
Awesome drive, scary as, roads just wide enough to fit a Starion (let alone a wide-body), and just to make things a bit worse blind corners with bikes flying at you.
Some really nice cars there (even the under coat coloured one look good), mine of corse being the most standard and probably slowest, but that will soon change  .
As I said cant wait for the next one.

I have to agree with everyone else; a fantasitc turn-out.

This was my first cruise and it was great to catch up with other Starion enthusiasts and great to see some great examples, and a widebody in the flesh

For the curious, here's the "undercoat" car (mine!):

It's a shame I couldn't make the cruise part of the day but we had to get the car home and dismantled in readiness for delivery
to the paint shop; by 5 we'd got it stripped down and had tucked into a couple of coldies :D

Can't wait for the next meet guys.

Still resizing and uploading, everyone. thanks for your patience.

A teaser...

EDIT: I have resized and zipped the photos into a file (roughly 18 megs). If anyone could host this file, drop me a line - itd probably kill me to upload and link all these photos one by one! I also have 2 short movies (8megs) on offer, of interest to Luke I'd assume :D

yeah its a TC05 that has been restamped (or so someone said), but im more interested in why some one would do that.
i think he said that it wasnt high flowed or anything like that.
maybe someone just wanted the car to be even more special (as if that is possible, wide-body  )
