DASH ECU on Non-DASH Engine

Post by SpidersWeb »

Sounds simple enough.

Can't afford aftermarket, so want to use the DASH ECU so the car wont die at ~12psi.

Can I just wire the ECU in, leaving obviously the 3rd valve solenoid unplugged, and it will run fine? Or does the DASH ECU require special sensors not found in the 8 valvers?

Sounds 100% good to me, just wanted to double check on here first.

No, the dash cars run different sized injectors, in a staged setup. :(

Just save for a link, $1k will get you the base model link, still a damn good ecu.

I don't have a $1000 :glare:
I've got so much to spend on repairs, one of which is swapping turbos.

If a DASH runs larger injectors, can't I just get DASH injectors?

Even still, Apexi S-AFC + DASH ECU = under half price of a full ECU. I just can't come up with another thousand dollars for a $1500 car :( :(

Panel repairs - $300
Seatbelts 50-$100
Rust - $300-$400
Brake Lines - $50-$100
Turbo Gaskets - $50
TD05 turbo - $200 already here, and half way through polishing it
And thats on top of the $2000 I have already spent :glare: :glare: :glare:

On the upside I may of found an LSD

If I can't run a DASH ECU I may just have to modify this turbo, on another note I might get lucky and boost might be set below 11psi.

or I could stop being such a retard and just use the TC05 actuator, since they are exactly the same, just different springs.
