Why I hate Commodores.

Post by madeofmilo »

I thought I'd start a controversial thread about my pet-hate. Commodores!

I thought each of us could post just ONE reason why they hate commodores.

For me it's simply how common they are.

Cheers Dave

dam, not the way i was hoping this thread to go :P.

Al, I must admit commodores have their merrits, I just not a fan that they are everywhere. At least with the staz you have something people go "ohh man it's a delorean"...

I didn't mean any offence Al.

Too big.
Too slow.
Anyone who drives one with a body kit, and a loud exhaust, thinks that they are god's gift, and that it's a high performance car.

rofl good back pedal there Dave rofl

Mine fits the kids. It can tow a trailer, boat, whatever. And it's a damn sight more relaxing than a staz on a long drive.

Can't wait till my autobarn T-wing and neons come in for it....... :wtf:

i dont hate all of them there are 2 i liked(not the word liked as in past tence)
ok first i like the VS Utes (cept when thay have been "dumped" on thier arse and have "fat" crome rims on em')
2nd i did use to like the VL's, BUT going to the school that i did changed that, still like the car, but HATE what it represents.
for a performance car it is to big to heavy and to slow(even the V8's).
as a family car fine, but P platers that think that they are 'fully sik' and quick are living in a deluded fantasy world.
example: mate had a VS (rode it off bout 2 weeks ago) with custom air intake and some other mods, spent a far bit on it, ran 16.3 1/4's! he and others belived that was 'quick'. Didnt a JA Starion do that from factory? and that was 23 years ago.

alright i will keep adding to this but heres just a few
1. they look like a boat
2. they drive like a boat
3. they are a boat with wheels
4. the engine DESIGN is over 50 years old
5. they all look the same, if not worse than each other
6. they smell
7. people think they go fast
8. they don't
9. they cant turn corners
10. everyone has one just like an arsehole

the list goes on

I dont mind Commodores, they carry passengers and tow with ease, and as a performance car they arent too bad either. They are heavy, but that shit about them not handling is rubbish, i have a vt and it handles well and the chassis gives good feedback. I would almost argue that it handles better than my starion but then we are comparing two cars with 15+ age difference.

The problem is some drivers who drive commodores have an attitude problem but thats because their is so many around and therefore so accessible.
Starions are a disease, the only cure is poverty.
