OK

The following are 98 Octane:

BP - Ultimate
Shell - Optimax
Mobil - synergy 8000
Caltex - Vortex 98

Following are premium - 95 Octane

Anything listed as premium (excluding above)
Caltex - Vortex / Vortex Gold

I use regular unleaded - 91 octane

98 oct here probably a bit less in price due to currency exchange but essentially the same over all.

Its all a matter of finances and availability.

I use Deisel.................to kill weeds! :D
But usually Optimax, only because the Shell servo is 30 seconds away. I prefer to use ultimate or the Mobil 8000. I dont feel much difference in the car...but on the Bike Mobil and BP feel a little better. Optimax has a hell of alot of detergent from what i hear, which is good for keeping the engine clean but washes the bores down affecting lubrication. But really, i have no proof of this and it could all be a roumer that Deeks started!
I used to mix 98pulp and super...for some reason this works well, but i dont think super or lead replacement in its old form is available anymore, but hell....give it a go with what they are using now.

i usualy use ultimate but due to my car chewing throught the gas at a fast rate (320km per full 75l tank) due to it needing a tune, i have chosen to use what ever i can put in it that makes it go so that would be 91 octain shitty fuel that still gets me 320km per tank

bigmoz :pimp

ps. flav will also be replacing my clutch next weekend and it is only 12000km old shows you the way that i drive ey rofl
85 JB, forged, larger valves, ported and polished microtech, sonata mpi, td06 20g, intercooler, willwood brakes, koni suspention, 3.9LSD and more shit i cant remember

82 JA, blueprint SIRUS 4g63, dumped and a cooler 17's, exhaust... DEAD :(

ultimate :) apparantly use refining to make a higher rating whereas optimax use additives :S heard some bad stories about optimax, but these were all bike related. so depends how tuned your engine is and how high it revs i guess.
