JB Distributor

Post by Star64 »

Hi all,

I have recently bought a 1984 JB Starion. The existing distributor is leaking, the shaft is worn and I,ve been told it needs replacing and/or reconditioning  . My mechanic in Canberra has not been able to find one or anyone here that can recondition it.

Can anyone help me with a replacement or does anyone know of a place that can recondition it?

Try replacing the o-rings that are on the shaft first, see if that makes a difference.

Welcome aboard by the way :D

Thanks Alspos,

I will mention it to the mechanic, would hope he has already check that but you know how it is. Be good if that fixes the problem seeing as it seems to be hard to get a distributor.

The only thing that could make it leak is worn o-rings on the distributor shaft...

.. unless someone has taken a nice chuck out of the dizzy orifice in the head.
