There is one in McLaren Vale (The wine district) $6500 with a 2.6(?possibly import?) T3/4 turbo injected...

A guy my mechanic knows? My mechanic said I should have got that one instead of the red one I got. Tells me after the event :x

That gold one sounds very familiar. I think I have met the 2 previous owners. I think it lives down southern suburbs. Has MASSIVE electrical problems. Even a mitsi dealer workshop couldn't work it out?

An old guy had it, rebuilt engine and a bit more, Then a younger guy got it and thrashed the crap out of it and sold it off as the best in Adelaide!!! I got the front air dam off him before it went. For those in southern suburbs of Adelaide the car yard that sold it a few years back is Vale#### Motors. Still this might not be the same car. But gold aint a common colour.

Had to change topic as it turns out the silver one is for sale by someone I know, couldnt belive he was selling it after all this time.

updated ad explains why cost so much:

Mitsubishi Starion JA 1982, turbo 2L, 5 speed manual, silver duco, near new tyres, tinted windows, power steer, new motor and turbo, 4 wheel disc, rego July, mag wheels, A1 condition, $7000 or near offer, UPF-479 SURREY DOWNS 0402-07 7795.

Also believe its had couple grand spent on custom made suspension recently.
this car is dead stock, possibly with the exception of exhaust.
he's always focus'd more on condition over performance.

He used to have 3 starions (including a supra engine converted one)
has sold all but this one too now going due to a back operation making Starions impractical, he had owned this Starion for about 8 years.

He has been associated with Starions since their arrival to Australia and used to race and collect them.

Also theres another one at a Car yard on south rd

Very rare, A 5 speed 2.0Ltr rear wheel turbo with an immaculate body and trim in red duco with a recent turbo overhaul. Be very quick, wont be here long power steering, air conditioning, power windows, alloy wheels.

Yeah I stopped by and had a look a few weeks back. 5g. I would rather pay that for just about any of the starions in the SA club. Salesman was a tool! "It was the boss' sons car and he keeps getting speeding fines thats why he selling", "It's a great price for a car that is worked off its tits"

I looked at the engine and it was covered in dirt and shit. Stock as a rock! okay rims, no rips in leather but cracked. I had the sigma there so couldn't really put the tool in his place back in the box.
