Personalised Plates
Personalised Plates
Hey all
What's your guys opinion on personalised plates? Would you have a pair or are they a no go zone?

Watch your speed - It's virtually impossible to pick it out of the carpet if it gets blown off the table.
Personalised plates or custom plates?
They are two different things here. (In S.A.)
"Normal" plates are 3 letters, followed by 3 numbers
ie ABC-123, our state is currently up to X**-123
"Personalised" plates must still contain 6 characters, letter(s) followed by number(s), but can be any combination of these. 1 letter and 5 numbers, or 5 letters and 1 number, or anything between, provided it's still letters-numbers, 6 in total!
ie A-12345, AB-1234, ABC-123, ABCD-12, or AXELR-8 :)
These have a "one off" fee.
"Custom" plates, can go up to, I think, 8 characters, with little restriction
ie, STARION, 82STAZZ, GADGET, but obviously motor reg would have a problem with EATSH*T or something of the like.
With custom plates, you must pay a yearly licensing fee, and it costs more for each letter over the standard 6, but you have freedom to pick some of the other sizes of plates the motor reg office allows (thin long, square (US style), standard, etc)

here I go, personally I reckon that the majority (not all!!!) of personalized platers out there are a bunch of wankers... that said, there are some memorable ones, like "BLOWN57" the black chevy in running on empty...
and DEVIL1 on a lambo diablo...

Yea I asked the question because personally I see them to much on cars I don't like e.g. "SXYGTX" but I've come across one that relates to the starion quite well so I'll update on it when I buy the plate, that's if it's still available when I have the cash :x

DAZ10N were Daryl's plates that he had on the gold JD that Hoongirl bought off him and I guess transferred onto her white car when she put on her own plates when she sold that to Will who probably kept them on when he sold it to you.
Just change your name to Daz and everything will equalise.
Personally I like GOT5OM
Oh and Cookie has 'Cookie' on his car for obvious reasons.

Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.
