WB 740kg - 600kg = 140kg difference

NB 650kg - 520kg = 130kg difference

So the NB is better balanced.

mrb1, what else has been done to the JA? Does it still have aircon?

How much of the weight difference do you think is because of the engine?
hmm, you only did half the working out there you cheater :P

Widebody Front 55.2% Rear 44.8% weight distribution

NarrowbodyFront 55.6% Rear 44.4% weight distribution

So the Widebody is MORE balanced than the narrowbodied sibling :beer

The weighbridge i used goes up in 20kg increments.

Total: 1240kg
Front: 680kg
Rear: 560kg

Had 1/3 tank petrol.

It still has aircon, full interior etc, have added intercooler, MPI etc, sub box, amp and i am using a space saver spare wheel. Factory airbox removed.

JB front seats weigh 17-18kgs each.
I forgot my car has Noltec coil-overs but I think the weight is simliar. Well that's interesting we are down to 60kg difference at the front now.

I used the one on Windsor road. The address is 135 Windsor Road Box Hill. If you drive towards Windsor it's on the right hand side in a funny place on top of a steep rise right beside the road. Ph (02)9627 5094.

lol

I looked at the numbers and didnt bother working out the %. :P

I wouldnt say one was better than the other with numbers that close anyway. What if one had a little more or less petrol.

I will say I think a Narrowbody with a 2.6 wouldnt be very well balanced.

Oh toysrus, when are you taking your cordia down to the weighbridge?

Did you change both front seats, or just the drivers side? Any idea of how much the replacement seat(s) weigh?

No I bolted the factory passengers seat back in when I weighed it. Not sure how much the Sparco race seat weighs but it's not very heavy. It's a fibreglass one.

At a factory spec'd 1050Kg, I'm not too worried :D or interested in weighing the bugger, will do though to calculate mph down the 1/4 mile and confirm XXXkw atw from the Dyno is correct :P

Finally took the Cordia out to the weighbridge today.......probably better if I didn't :x

Front 760Kg (65%)
Rear 420Kg (35%)

Total: 1180Kg

I do have the 2Ltr Engine in it, along with a complete 304ss 3" exhaust system, 15" wheels with 50 profile rubber, 225 wide on the front and 205 rears, plus a better but heavier front brake setup  and about 20Litres of petrol in it.......along with the full interior :P

Am putting in polycarbonate uv2 sheets to replace the side and rear windows though

depends if it was dry curb weight or not.

....BUT
isn't 2.6 longer, which would mean there's more weight forward of the front axle, making it a less balanced car?
