Thats Dirty Sanchez in 7th in his SR20 powered Staz. It was co-driven by Stephen Smith in 15th.

Rod Mackay in the other staz doesn't come on this forum as far as I know. But it is a bog stock JA.

Ask Cookie

I had a run with the SR20 staz in the afternoon, so I can say first hand it shat all over my Lancer in a straight line, mind you I think I gained about 2 seconds on it around the back of the circuit, hehe. :)

The SR20 Staz would defintely beat me down the straight. Very quick in a straight line.

Never argue with an idiot, it brings you down to their level and they beat you with experience.

Wantsom, my race engineer, had some most excellent ways of increasing the terminal velocity of the vehicle. Honestly, he is an automotive guru.

So, whilst no one was in earshot he wanders over and quietly suggests that I close my drivers window. Something about aerodynamics and the whole car acting as a huge parachute. Anyway, I didn't understand the mumbo-jumbo so I gave it a shot. In a word - genius. 3 seconds off my lap time.

Next run he wanders over again. I was getting giddy. What glorious and devious plan did he have this time? Out came the spanner and screwdriver and before you could say "fark me" the drivers side mirror and windscreen wiper had vanished. Another 0.5 second per lap he assured me.

So out I go... but I was slower this time. What had he done to my car!? I calmy approached my race engineer and was about to accuse him of messing around too much with the cars aerodynamics when he pointed at my drivers side window.

I'd left the farker open. Ah fark!

Next run, with the car setup in tip-top aero trim.. another second lap time improvement.

Bottom line.. if you need help with your wind flow.. talk to Wantsom.

P.S Actual gain in laps times may have be slightly embellished.

P.P.S OK.. hugely embellised.
