FS: JB Starion for track, parts or fixup [SYD] ***SOLD***

Post by fr335tyl3r »

Hi guys,

Clearing out the starion yard that is my driveway at the moment. The car is currently not registered, and has not been for the length of the time it has been sitting in my driveway.

The car is a JB starion, with JA front bar. Car is two tone silver/grey with a bright red JA bonnet (replaced the old JB bonnet that was riddled with rust). Car has JA tail lights, but JB pillar vents.

Has a few spots of rust around the car, and a sizeable rust ridden hole in the front drivers side panel (should be an easy enough swap over).

White gauges with blue transparent letters (thanks HCCA) have been installed, and rest of the gauge surrounds have been painted silver.

Engine was running well last time it was run, but it has since donated its starter motor to my other money pit of a starion. It will need a new battery also but comes with one that is reading out at around 11.4V. If you want to recharge this one, be my guest. I will also include a busted starter motor for the buyer that they can get repaired.

Comes with a blitz blow off valve and a custom crossover pipe (no intercooler) to fit the blow off to. Has a custom painted rocker cover.

The interior of the car IS included, but the majority of it is not currently fitted (just the essentials, ie dash front seats etc) If this was going to be an every day car, it could do with a good retrim.

UPDATE - I have refitted the whole interior now minus one panel which is in the boot (didnt have time to put it back in).

EOI's atm, if a good offer comes up ill sell it. Its just taking up room at the moment.

PRICE DROP - $1000 ONO

Good Features!
  • LSD in good condition
    Complete interior
2 sets of standard JB rims
non leaking powersteering unit (needs bleeding though
come with JB or JA bonnet (your choice!)
Any questions, PM me.

In the event of possible part stripping, I would like to express my interest in some JB rear taillamps :)

I don't really want to part this out, seeing as it will end up being in the same state as the other car (the JA I have up for sale).

Guys, dont forget this has an LSD in fairly good condition (hasnt been tortured or anything) and apart from the rust the body is very straight.

Should be an easy fixup for those out there, and I will probably get the starter reco'd soon so that it can actually start on its own again.

Looking for offers around the $1500 mark, ono.

I'm suprised people aren't climbing all over it just for the LSD, these are the best modification you can make to a Starion!

If you want to get a starter motor for it, Sigma 2.6 starter motors fit without modification and cost $30 from a wrecker.

That's worth remembering. There should be a sticky where people can record part compatability
