Some suggestions needed..

Post by Cam »

I am currently looking at colour to spray my car. Its currently blue but i want to go something different. I was considering a very vivid gold, but reconsidering i was thinking of maybe the new holden purple "Cosmo - Metalic Purple" or the blue they have "Impulse Blue", but after looking at some of the other colours around i also considered the ford colour "Citric Acid" and also the one "Blood Orange". Anyone got any suggestions?

Are you spraying it yourself?

A nice bright silver, add in any pearl you want, a purple would look pretty damn sweet i rekon.

Hmmm, silver.

Ooo i like the orange!
I want it to be something that will stand out. I was thinking of a orange and now i've seen that it sems like a damn good choice. But would still like to hear other people's thoughts. I dont really wanna spray it a metalic colour and i dont wanna go pearl i just want a plain colour that is gonna really really stand out. Like the orange and like the yellow of your car LxS.

cam, before you spray your car man you might want to fix some of the mechanical gremlins you've got first.

colours

Post by WANTSOM »

Just went through the same dilemma with Marie's GOTSOM . Was metallic silver as standard. Looked at the silver/purple pearl dilemma - ended up just going for a respray in the silver to freshen it up and are very happy we did.

Track car - was looking at the Ford metallic mustard colour - reckon it would suit the Starion very well. Have decided to stay white with some cool graphics to break it up.

Orange = taxi in my view but does look good on some show cars.

At the end of the day its a purely personal choice as to what colour YOU want your car to be. It has to reflect your personality. Go for what you like and live with the consequences of other people's views. eg I would never spray a car yellow but LxS did her's in yellow and it looks awesome. It really is the most personal thing you will do to your car. :) Wha

That said my 4 yrl old nephew is adamant that red cars are faster in the matchbox range.

Cheers
Greg

Yes, i must agree the Red matchbox cars do go faster, but most things in red go faster, even women.

Hmm instead of orange (I know you were set on that colour) what about a crimson blood red?.. not metallic, but just a deep deep red colour, if your after metallic put a gold or silver pearl through it.

Thats my 2 cents anyways! :wtf:

Ive sorta decided on a dark purple. but atm the respray is off. I have to much work to do atm. So it can wait untill i have the time.
Just hoping atm that the car keeps running for a little longer while i save some money. I just rebuilt the engine and for some reason this car doesnt like engines :wtf:
