Want To Trade: My LHD dash/parts for your RHD dash/parts
I was wondering is there anyone out there in RHD land that wanted to make their vehicle stand out from the crowd by doing a LHD conversion? I want to do the same here in the US, just the opposite though. I want to convert my '87 Chrysler Conquest from LHD to RHD. I was thinking that we could just swap the parts needed for the conversion. My LHD dash and parts needed for your RHD dash and parts. Then we could just split the shipping cost for all this stuff. So, how about it?

So far the parts I need from a RHD donor car are:
1. Steering Box
2. Pedal box and Support Brackets
3. Handbrake Lever
4. Dashboard
5. Steering Column Mounting Bracket
6. Clutch Pedal Mounting Bracket
I've gotten most of this stuff from this site.

As an aside, can I ask a silly question? Why do you wish to convert to a RHD car? For track use so you can see what other drivers can't? So you can pull in to the RHS of your garage and not open the door in to the car next to you? Are you allowed to drive a RHD car in LHD land?johnnyRacer wrote:Ok, how about some widebody stuff? I still want to do a RHD conversion on my '87 Conquest. Any takers?

Honestly, I'm not sure of the legality, but I've seen a few RHD Rolls Royce, Hondas, Toyotas, 240sx's, and Skyline here in Chicago. There is a company here in the US that has been importing the 1989-present Skylines from Japan. I just want to be different. I was originally going to buy a Nissan 240sx that was sold here in the States and convert it to RHD using Silvia parts. But then I found you guys a coulpe of months back. And I already have an '83 Starion LS and (2) '87 Conquest TSI's.
