The handle would obviously swap sides but to what gain?

It's to enable a person , shall we say, of more impressive proportions to enjoy the comforts of the drivers seat.

Ahh.. very tactfully said. Going by space between myself and handle the person will indeed be very largely boned.
Perhaps the different seats compound this as well.

Well basically its just to make it easier to pull during races as were it is NOW your leg can get in your way of a QUICK pull. And YES also as an excuse to grab the lady's leg and say Ooops Sorry sweety =)

But mainly is the extra room. And as MANY of us here in the States we are NOT tiny by far. Most of the Starion owners I know are AT LEAST 5-10 and me at 6-2 and 220lbs I need ALL the room I can get =)
