I WILL BUY PLASTIC WHEEL COVERS

Post by Kreal »

Hello, does anyone have what I am looking for?

If you do, you'll know what I am talking about.

Plastic type wheel covers/hubcaps that clip over the factory 5 lug wheels to cover them.

Let me know, as I will buy these.

Thank you.

Hey Kreal !

The grouch here !
And sorry bud but you are barking at the wrong tree !
Aussie Starions never came with the Aero covers. And with aprox. 10 widebodies in the whole country the odds are against you !

Sorry to be the one to dissappoint you on this.

I am also looking for a set of these and no luck ANYWERE in the world, I have posted in the UK site as well as Jappan's wanted adds and the some European sites as well and no luck for over 2 years.

Your best chance is right here in the States.
Keep looking and make sure I dont beat you to a set :D :beer

Surely they only exist to stop hopeless drivers from scraping their rims on a kerb? Those things are hideous. :?

No REALLY guys...

Tell me how you REALY feel about them...
PLEASE dont hold back be TOTALLY honest ! :D :D :D :D :D rofl

But in my own defence I like them, back in the Early 90's all the GTP race cars had them and they were actually functinonal as means to cool your brakes by sucking air out from under the car and at the same time creating a vacuum effect under the car giving it more downforce. But the ORIGINAL "Turbo Fan Wheels" had to be Drilled into your wheel's lip/face/surface and I was NOT about to hack a new set of wheels.

But again its just the rarety of the fact that attracts me to them. They are NOT wheel protectors as they are plastic and if you hit a curb or a NICE pot hole you will loose just as fast as you would a normal Hubcap.

And I think I know why you guys dont like them !
You guys are Jelous of us here in the US because we had them originally, and because of all the widebodies, LSD and 2.6L motors here...? Right its a jelousy thing right ? :D :D :D :D :D

Isn't that a UK spec car in the picture? I have a UK spec widebody, if it came with those awful things you could have them! Hell, I'd pay you to take them away! ;)

Flav...
Dont get me all excited man ! :D

And I can FEEL the love you guys are giving me on this subject.
Thanks... Thats means YOU CARE...... LOL :?

Thank you for making me feel welcomed !

jrod82....
That pic is of a German Starion, I have the booklet (In German) and I took a crappy pic to show you guys. But those came ONLY on the WIDE wheel Starions (8's and 9's) so they are rare.

Cookie...
If I forget my plates at a picnic.... I have 4 of them, just rinse off the brake dust and slap on the food on them !

Thanks for the tips !
