Thanks woody,
Yes since getting the head done, as well as a full retune etc...this thing is running awesome....certainly better than it ever has.
Oh and i forgot....the tyres are only a few thousand k's old as well (And no i havent been doing skids, so the tyres still resemble new ones :P ), aslong with the new clutch.
And incase anyone is now wondering....why spend lots of money on a car thats now running awesome and sell it? I run my own business, and need to upgrade to something totally different for business and practicality purposes...hence the regretfull sale of the staz ;)
Cheers

Just a quick update for everyone.
As you can see above...ive advertised the car with a rebuilt stock turbo. Me and adam did this rebuilt ourself, however after having it analysed by a professional, it appears that we havent necessarily done this properley.
I picked up my spare turbo today and sent it off to a specialist turbo place to have it fully ground, new seals put through it and fully ballanced.
The car can still be viewed at anytime, but will have the new turbo on it by the end of next week, all going well.
Cheers
Andrew
P.S. Im not going to be attempting to rise the price due to the new turbo ;)

I have been in contact with the seller of this car (Andrew) for the last week, and from the outset he has been extremely helpful and extremely honest. He has furnished me with photos and answers to every question that I had. Unfortunately the tyranny of distance (me in Adel, him in Brissy) means I wont be buying this car. HOWEVER.... If any one in QLD is looking for a sweet ride that is well looked after, do yourself a favour and have a look at this car. Well worth the asking price.

Thanks for those kind words terry :)
Just an update for everyone....the turbo rebuild is costing me $971! Either which way, its basicaly going to be brand spanking new once i get it back, so once its all fitted....there should be literally bugger all left to do mechanically on this car.
Oh, and those photos that i sent to terry, are available to anyone. Only reason i havent posted them is that my net connection seems to be too slow and it times out....so if anyone is curious, just email me and ill send em to ya.
Cheers

The cooler piping was baught off someone from this website, and it is only rusting a little on the outside, but a bit of sandpaper and powder coat can fix that. Also, you might notice the extra hole in the face plate. That was because when I owned it, the car had a head deck and a police scanner. Also, Andrew, Looking good. My dad didn't clean it for the month or so it was at his house and it got dirty and andrew cleans it and it looks new again.

Thanks for that terry!
Just on the note of the engine bay....it hasnt been cleaned since it blew a few hoses and a head gasket....and also since the mechanic got it all dirty while replacing the head and gasket....hence the engine bay looking filthy!
I do always think though when buying a car, its better to see it dirty, as it gives you a bit of confirmation that a quick clean hasnt hidden things.
And adam...the car is actually dirty in those photos :P But thats by my definition, im fussy and if its not perfect...its not clean :P
I spoke to the turbo place today...my turbo will be ready for pick up late friday afternoon. I am booking the car in to have it fitted on monday, and just as a little extra, im also getting the steering drag link rebuilt.
Those of you who are into starions will know that they have a characteristic looseness in the steering. It only annoyed me for about the first half hour i drove the car, however my mechanic has assured me that he can fix it...so its just one other little extra bit im getting done before the car goes :D
