I think you will find they are designed to vent air when the heater/aircon is on so you don't pressurise the car or die from your own stench. It's just handy that the vent when the doors shut.
despite what every genious who knows everything in the world about photoshopping says, i didnt make it matt, it has EXACTLY the same amount of gloss it did in the photo when i took it.
To take the the trim on the inside off you take the roll bar trim/rear roof lining off (one with two vents in front of rear window.) the metal part that wraps around roof lining in door way and the panel below the one you ultimately want off. Done it numerous times :x careful with clips. The first trim you have to take off in roof will most likely break the rivets through the wood if not correct. Araldite it back in and will be fine.
If clips break amy parts shop can replace them with a very close one
