I've had my gearbox rebuilt once already, you should hear the horror stories from the guys on the forums!
One guy is on his 2nd faulty gearbox and 4th diff (which appears to be holding up okay). Why can't they just get it right in the factory??!

FORD=Found On Road Dead. I know, I *used* to have one. From new, to 70,000kms; gearbox probs, 3 waterpumps, bits of garnish flying off the car at 110km/h, front LH wishbone suspension let go while going around a roundabout one day.....oh, and starting it when warm was a lottery.
Haven't had a Ford since. The I had a Commonwhore(from new), fan didn't work on high, electric mirror drivers side no go, radiator leak within 50,000kms. However it started every day without fail. Currently 02 Magna VR-X, from new, now 75,000 kms, has never missed a beat. And I do give it a bit of a hard time occasionally.

You still got that magna junkie? Still goin ok?
Paradoxx sold his staz and got a BA XR6?(correct me if I'm wrong!)
That gold/bright yellow if i remember.
Is it really that much of a Sh!tbox? I was thinking of getting one, but if the quality control is out the window, i won't bother!
PS. did any one know that the street torque magna from alice springs is for sale? around $27,000, with twin turbo, around 310kw @ wheels! (hmmmm, buy and AWD magna, swap motor and computers over, resell street torque magna with stocker motor, keep AWD twin turbo street sleeper!) :D

www.booyamotorsport.com <--bens site dedicated to the magna. Hes asking too much for the car. its engineered and all but a 1996 magna for $27,000? meh

The intercooler looks stupid too, way too big. He ran it off the road not that long ago, think its fixed now.

Yeah , don't buy the BA falcon. We have a fleet of around 12 BA's and EVERY single one of them has been a pain in the arse. Transmissions , steering , brake rotors , stalling for no apparent reason , all of these faults ford are reluctant to fix. We have tried numerous Ford service departments and each one of them has fucked us around. The AUiii in my opinion was a FAR better built car , but no multivalve 6 cylinder engine (unfortunateley).
