Watch your speed - It's virtually impossible to pick it out of the carpet if it gets blown off the table.

Replica? There were only two or three made, and also, there was one made by a private collector using original spare parts. Not sure which one this is. I have pics of all the different gullwings made.

I think you are right. And upon closer inspection, that is more thanlikely the one made by the private collector using the spare parts as there are a few differences between that one the others.

NXTIME: I never knew you were such a wealth of information about the rare starions (this and also the rally one), I'm impressed :)

I'm thinking either those doors would have to be lightened a helluva lot, or those are some crazy-powerful struts lifting them up. Do you have any more info on how this collector did the converson?

IMHO I think he got the doors made up custom

They don't look like spare parts, they look more like a professional custom job.

As for scissor doors, they look unco on a starion. It's only a WOW factor more then anything, why not get some ne0ns, a pair of fully sik w00fers and a purge system... :wtf:

As far as practicality goes, the gullwing would be an ass in a carpark.

Scissor doors would be fanstatic.

Have you been in a toyota sera?

The way the doors are set up to open make it easy for parking, i'ld say it would be similar to the gullwing starion.

With a gullwing starion who needs to park in a carpark? Just park "THS" style :D

Actually toysrus, the collector bought the spare doors and lower sill panel from the company that made the two gullwings for the Japanese TV police series called "Gorilla" after the show ended and had to fabricate the rest himself. If you look close enough to the Yahoo gullwing and the originals you will notice the subtle differences (hint: the struts and the inner door panel/trim :D).
