I thought widebodys couldn't be imported here because they dont comply with frontal impact standards?

The turbo and manifold is worth that much alone, the bottom end will undergo a $4k upgrade sometime in the future and my tag says wannabe too

Fools you're not even allowed to have manifolds in NZ, they just plug a turbo into each zorst port off the head... rules and regulations. if NA then u got 4 zorsts (if 4cyl) one to front, back, left and right of car. something to do with emisions.

I can confirm the above is true also :D and so can Cookiemonster which is why he keeps saying 'You can get the turbo much cheaper in NZ.'

As for toysrus.... what are you smoking? :pimp

That seller in Japan has at least 10 widebodies that he is either selling or wrecking. The ones that are in decent condition he wants over 500,000 Yen for them. The ones that are on Yahoo Japan all have problems of one kind or another and are not in the best contion (and most are auto, hence cheaper).

Also, the prices are all starting prices and it is an auction, so the final price is not a given.

Morons - stop clogging up a for sale thread on an abviously good buy with utter tripe. You are living in the land of make-believe if you think you can get a good widey for under $10K landed & regoed.

Starion.gsrvr - sounds like a great buy. It looked fantastic on the brief times I saw it on the road. Unfortuantely I couldn't bring myself to park such a car at the train station everyday & I really cannot justify registering 3 cars (2 is bad enough).
