Using parts from the 3, managed to tidy up the interior a little. Just happy its looking tidier.
It was like this:
and now like this:
Since the 3 had three stereo components, the bottom tray was open. I used a tray from another car, cut it to fit, superglued it in place, and it makes a great wallet or cellphone holder. I did this to prevent people from dropping things under the velnas expecting a shelf, then trying to fish them out and breaking stuff.
The pure black pieces are from the 3. Silver are from the X.

Also the steering wheel is huge.
The one in my 85 GSR-3 is much smaller, but of the same design, its about the size of a regular momo aftermarket wheel. The standard wheel in the X is quite large.
Noticed it yesterday because I could actually see the rev gauge!

And if you were reading the other thread, I tested the fuel output today, and it came up 1L when I started the car. So its working. Just turns out its more economical than I first imagined.
The auto will stay there for now. While the engine feels like its in really good condition, I dont want to push my luck with it. So it'll stay as more of a cruiser than a racer until I get it rebuilt. Im keeping the gearbox etc from the GSR-III for a future adventure though. This weekend the plan is to fit JB bumper, and air damn, perhaps the AeroTech 3pce spoiler. Gotta prep the garage too, and next weekend its time for another respray - properly this time.

Saturday's Progess:
- Nulon Worn Engine Treatment popped in, hopefully this will reduce the nasty tick/smoke thing
- Found hole in air pipe, and blocked it up
- Dosed the engine with degreaser and polished up the ECI and TURBO writing
- Fitted JB bumper and air damn
- Installed driving lamp switch in cabin
- Installed power relay and fused power system for lamps
- Wired up the parking lamps so they deny power to the drive lamp circuit when headlights are set to off (so I dont leave the driving lamps on by accident) + the toggle switch, so I can just go with the fog lamps only.
- Changed battery terminals from 'about to fall apart' to brand new copper badboys :)
Just kind of happy with an afternoons work. Tomorrow Ill paint it, and put some pics up, assuming that it doesn't rain or something.

Also with those new battery connectors, my car alarm works properly, and doesn't keep setting itself off. Car idles better now the air leak has been plugged, however still produces that smoke :(
Next weeks mission: Clean up and paint spare power steering pump and fit with new belts.
To come over next month or two: head recon, viscous->elec fan conversion, professional paint job as Im crap at it, turbo rebuild, and manual conversion
