8 second Magrion?

Post by Glenjo »

Anyone got the link for the 8 second drag Starion? Think it runs the 2.6 magna.

Car was campaigned by Sakura (may help your search).
I don't think the 2.6 it ran used any components from a magna though. Remember that Starions overseas ran 2.6 turbos.

Nah I doubt it would. I'm just in habbit of refering to them as Magna engines. Thanks.

I'm searching for the yellow and red one, fully dragged out, with extended bonnet.

Watch your speed - It's virtually impossible to pick it out of the carpet if it gets blown off the table.

That white one with the decals down the side was in a dvd I got. Street Fury gold edition. It would be a pretty quickcar but it is pretty much a designated show car.

There's a few very interesting things about that first car (yellow one)

Water - Air intercooler
Stock exhaust manifold... low mounted turbo
look at the size of that fuel line!!!
where's the brakes?
What's with that dash?!

Thanks anyway.

I know the one that you are after, and I had a link to it somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. It is a full chassis drag car with a carbon/FRB Starion body.

SIRIUS, that is the yellow one in the first link I posted - Bushur Racing Starion - http://turbomirage.phpwebhosting.com/st ... r_starion/

The car he is after is an all-out full chassis drag car with a custom Starion body shell. There is also the EIP drag Starion which is 2.6 and is tubbed, but I don't think that has run 8's yet.

good page here
http://www.t-racing.com/Racing2.6Cars.htm

also
http://www.starquestclub.com/cgi-bin/st ... d=bullcrap

somewhere on that forum you'll see a thread titled "is this sakura"
I beleieve there were links to;
sakura - green mirage, 2.6L with custom 8v head, first import in the 7s, last ran a 7.43s quarter. Rumors of v6 power to come
a maroon starion - 2.6L. Has the name 'sakura' on the front, but its not... some affiliation tho.
bushur yellow staz - dohc, can't remember if 2L or 2.4L. Slower than the sohc cars
