starion questions
Hi there all. Ive just got a few questions:
Just wondering if anyone has ported their 4g63 housings to give that cool " brap brap" sound. My mate did it to his series 1 and it made it way faster too.
Has anyone converted their car to 4wd? how much would it cost? I was thinking of maybe putting a second motor into the boot to drive the rear wheels and using the front motor to drive the front wheels. I could turn both engines sideways and use two gsr gearboxes- one per engine.
How fast would it be? Faster than my friends type R integra?
Oh.. and how hard would it be to convert a supra veilside bodykit to fit the starion?
I have all these cool ideas, just gotta find some money! should cost too much though if i do all the work myself. I have to learn how to weld!.

The 'brap brap' sound is the sound of a rotary engine.
Starion's dont have rotary engines. We have pistons, heads, cams etc
Yes you could convert the car to 4WD, but you'll probably need an engineer to design / build it, and it'd be costly. We've looked in to this in the past, do a search for 4WD Starion. Ralliart made one in 1983/4. And no you cant just put EVO bits in it.
As for the other ideas, fitting a veilside Supra kit could be done, but it'd cost heaps and probably coming out looking like crap. tmz did a nice job with an R34 Skyline front kit though. Remember Supra's are curved, so the spoiler designs are designed to match.
As for the twin engine idea, well its not worth the cost, unless you've got more money than Bill Gates and wanted to be noted in history books or something. A GSR gearbox definately wont happily go on, not to mention the other costs involved. You're from NZ, and I could almost guarantee this would never be certified.
If you want to do something cool to a Starion, fit a VR4 engine. Thats the first step.
