Be aware the front undertray/splashguard can also affect the air flow through the radiator.

i've never seen on on a starion? the tray under the engine bay right?

Here's the mod I did for the thermo fans to make both come on at once.

I did it the simplest way by bridging the two +12V supply wires (blue and yellow) to both fans after the relays. I would have preferred to bridge the two signals to activate both relays, but I got lazy ;). The wires in the picture are the one's that run over the driver's side thermo fan. The car is a JA, so I'm not sure if the colours are the same on JB/JD.

I figured that the fuse & relay for each fan could cope with the extra load of the other fan so decided to try it an see, but I really should find out how much current each fan draws to make sure. They both run reliably with no dramas, so I'm assuming that there is still some reasonable margin.

Hope this helps with some of the overheating dramas this summer.
