Three cheers to hcca and red paint!

Post by hoongirl »

Today Kelfy and I put hcca's red dials into our staz's... needless to say kelfy is very excited :D

We thought the orangey/white needles looked pretty horrible with the new dials, so we scraped the old paint off with a knife and painted them red to see what they would look like...

Surprisingly enough it worked! An art paint called gouache was used because it's thick and opaque.

Three cheers to hcca and red paint! :beer

And now we're off to the pub to celebrate :D :D :D

Both ours work. You need to take the thing apart and bend the terminals down.
It still only moves a small amount though. :(

The fuel gauge is in a familiar position. If the Starion is not on empty it will be soon. Fuel guzzling thing that they are.
Nice work. Where did you get the new faces from?

Where do you get the needle paint from?? My needles *were* orange and are now faded... Near the middle they're orange and they fade to white at the end..

Or I've got some red hobby paint somewhere, will that work? :D
