Welcome, look on the front suspension strut tower the first two letters are your model number. The last few numbers will be its number. Interested to see what you have. Let us know.

Hi, and welcome. Good to see a Staz in Iceland!

We think yours is a widebody! Correct??

If your not sure have a look for LXS. She has recently restored/built a widebody.

Did yours come from the states or uk?

The "A183A" in the VIN is supposed to mean that it is a narrow body. Might be a JD then."

Mine is a A183 also.

Does it have an LSD?
Does it have ABS or traction control?
Big vents or no vents?
Also need to know the age.

With that we can let you know. Mine is a '85 Starion GSR-III which came with heaps of vents, no abs or traction control, and no LSD.

LSD with no ABS - weird

Vents - on the bonnet, huge intake vents or a flat bonnet

Still I have no idea, the '87 Starion I saw on trademe in NZ was a widebody. Guess its a very late model JB???

It could be a 1986 model but with 1987 compliance (or similar) in Iceland. Australia had Starions officially imported and we still had up to 6 months delay from build to compliance dates,so I wouldn'tbe surprised if it was a 1986 JD.

Birgir,

He's my brother :) :D

My 'JD', which Cookie refers to, which has a build date in late '86 but compliance date in AUS in early '87, and of course first registered in '87. Narrowbody, RH Drive, std rear three piece spoiler, std intercooling.

My VIN # however does start with JD not JM

I don't have the wide registration plate but that would be a local compliance issue.
