Im planning to run 18-19psi when WG is fixed, expecting 250+kw atw.

Shotpeened VR4 rods
JE forged pistons
780cc injectors
600hp bosch fuel pump
Sard fuel pressure regulator
42mm turbonetics wastegate
Custom exhaust manifold
750hp capable garret turbo
EVO3 intercooler
Intercooler water sprayer
Greddy BOV
Autronic ECU

Suspension wise it has KYB adjustable coil overs all round and EVO3 front brakes and front strut brace.

That should give yas an idea.
Have more planned.

excellent average usable power band ;) I bet it feels quite strong through the gears. Good luck with the 250+rwkw figure. I don't think it will be much trouble.

Yeah it certainly feels strong through the gears, get full boost a bit later than the old T4 but the power is real good.
I converted the torgue figure to NM and it was 1264nm which is pretty good.
The tuner said if i wound it up to 25-26psi it would make 600hp, the turbo wont really wake up till around 18psi.

heh, might wanna divide that torque figure by your diff ratio (assuming you were in 4th)

NXTIME, the turbo is an american MUTT turbo, its an internal wastegate one, but since i had the 42mm external i decided to use it anyway.
Extreme motorsport sell them, i bought the turbo here in NZ, few company's bring them in.
Im not that sure of exact specs for the turbo, but its a garret and was designed to bolt straight onto eclipse/talon and other 4G63T cars like VR4s and early EVOs.

Cusscuss, yeah it was in 4th. Why do you divide the torque figure? Never heard of that before.

Ahh, yes, I know these turbos. They come in various HP ratings and are great performers. They are garrett spec turbos and have custom cast Mitsu flanges that allow them to be bolted onto stock manifolds.

1264nm doesnt sound a bit high?

thats how much torque you are putting to the ground, you can change this by changing gears or diff ratios. IF you want a proper comparatable figure, then you have to divide by the diff ratio then you will get the output torque with the drivetrain loss.

Run the car on the 1/4 but had clutch issues, fluid leak caused me to pull out after 2 test runs. Looks promising though although i never launched it super hard.

Yours wouldn't happen to be the red starion that pops up in one of the 'High Octane" dvd's would it? Its there for a couple of seconds running a 1/4 in the rain?

Hi Prozac, yeah my car is on one of the high octane vids at the drags.
If you come up im sure we can arrange something. Car is off the road at the moment till i get clutch hydraulics working again though.
