your running a camtec grind do you know the spec

I've just ordered a 296 deg 470 lift 112 lobe sep
I think should beath ok to around 7000 ?

what do you think

Well that's right but in here on the JB style TBI (same as the 2.6) looks pretty ugly. It looks half blocked up plus lots of sharp edges inside. Die grinder time!

Yeh me too but it would be interesting to see how much you could improve it, plus I have this JB TBI to play with. No just put the Magna manifold on......talking to myself here!

cookie with that grind how do you find it for pottering around in? you had it in when i was in the car didnt you?

(i was going to goto rpw, but ive been steered away from there so ill just get the adjustable wheel from them)

Yes, it was in the car. But after the car was tuned.. we found the cam was not dialled in correctly. And I still had the standard TC06 at that time.

So since then it has been retuned with a TD06-17C.

At 3000rpm its making around 60 kw atw - so yes a bit sluggish.
By 4000rpm its making around 140kw atw.

So during this 1000rpm range you can really feels the affects of the cam and larger turbo.

Power keeps increasing upto redline (6200rpm) but not as dramatically.

from what i can remember, it wasnt particulary lumpy or anything and was fine in traffic wasnt it?

nice fat power curve mrb1, how much torque did it make?

I think I found one of the reasons for the bad drop in power on my dyno chart. Partly is due to injectors, but the main reason is due to the exhaust manifold having a huge leak in it. When they grinded the welds back, they grinded them too far.
