Weight reduction???

bloody 1260 kg.....
i cant beleive our cars weight that much....
a mate has a vl turbo (bt1) that weighs 1250kg
rx7 s4' weigh 1200....
how could we drive around being that overweight...
i think something needs to be done...
ps. pissed off coz that rx7 beat me...
ps. weight reduction time...

Im down to 1100kg... and thats with a 40kg roll cage bolted in.

It's harder than it looks.

I should hope so. A soft roll cage won't provide much protection...

I took a starion to the tip today. it had to be weighed before i dumped
it and it weighed 680kg. No motor/gearbox/diff/interior half stripped.
Basically a body. Sort of felt guilty as i left her there :(

this has been covered quite extensively on the US forums, one of the sites has it listed somewhere, i saw it years ago, can't remember which one, start searching and you should find it

What??? Why would you dump her? There is only a limited amount around as it is without dumping them! :cry:

well im hoping for sub 1200 when i finish stripping mine.

only a basic job, aircon, interior, light squirters and rear window squirter and i might try and get rid of the wiper motor if i can do it but it should provide that little bit extra.
