JD starion motor
HI Everyone
Does anyone know of a good motor for my JD starion i need one
I want some thing that has some balls to it and will not want to play up on me.
or should i just get my old 4g63t motor rebuilt it does idle but blows smoke alot it was stolen and shannons car insurence will not fix it for me
WHAT SHOULD I DO
any help would be good

hmm, check out thetech section, but u have a range of upgrade options for ur current motor, then u have the 2.6 astron, the DASH motor, the DOHC, then u can go away from the mitsubishi and do a 2JZ or a rotart or SR20.. really its up to you WHAT you stick in there, its all about how much ur willing to spend, but unless your budget is around the 8-10k mark stick with the motor you have in there now.

There seems to be a 'law of diminishing returns' when it comes to engine swaps, regardless of the type of car :)
According to legend, if you go for an engine swap (regardless of how little you spend on obtaining the new engine), you'll always spend around $10K by the time you're finished and road-ready...
Got $10K? If you haven't, get your existing engine rebuilt - will save both time and money...
