Drift Nationals (warning! many images! long dload)

Post by 4g6beat »

Was anyone there?

Twas an awesome weekend full of good competition, decent turn out feature of the day had to be bai doing donuts riding the door like a cowboy withonly one leg and a hand in his car. spectacularrrrrrr.

it's a shame the 86's couldn't fight it out in the final cos of mechanical issues good to see them out there though.

OK! here are the pics finaly!
the signal car drifting.

D1 driver demo 3 at a time! :D

Two drifters fighting it out at the semis.

Podium. The green perth based s13 (with rb26 engine) took the win from the signal car in the final. Too bad the sydney round didn't have any sydney siders in the final :wtf:
Image

Ok now to the carpark. this the unique autosports zed missing a bumper after attempted drift :) to bad it was a well balanced circuit car and corrected it's sideways slide halfway through a corner and into the tyre wall
Image

I know it's not a staz but this is the next best thing from japan in the eighties in my opinion long live the wedges! (plus it's so damn initial d like :D i'm a looser i know!)

Image

Meh, last photo is my bro's vr4 engine bay not showy but nice and the bugger packs a fierce punch hehe (i'm hoping he wont notice if it's gone from his engine bay one morning and magically appeaered in mine  )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Front control arm pivot points were moved out to obtain more front end negative camber.

Verdict: Excellent front end grip... rear end grip now has trouble keeping up.

Outcome: I have an oversteering handful.

Development continues.
what development are we going to see next? spin turn knob? deep dish rims? :)

Not really... they are 2 VHS tapes they gave me. If anyone in Sydney wants to digitize them they are welcome to borrow them. Our video player is gathering dust in the cupboard
