If I could make a suggestion here, could it be possible for some of these rwhp numbers to be attached to their relative dyno's. It might make it a bit easier for comparison.

The idea od a dyno day cam up again yesterday. I think that this is a great idea and I am sure that one can be arranged. I am willing to organise one for the Sydney Starions, that way we can get a more direct comparison of everyones engines.

I got 179 hp at wheels at 12 psi on a dyno dynamics dyno at redclifft dyno, this is with standard engine internals, but not the standard injection setup. 101kw at the wheels is about 140 kw at the engine.

i think itll be a lil more that 140kw at the engine....when i was getting 93rwkw.... guy told me its about 200hp at the engine, which is exactly 150kw.... thats why i figured the power out put now to be 160kw at the engine.... i took my car to TURBO TUNE on south rd. they have been around for a long time, so gathered they would know.

I dont have the torque or rpm figures, but here is the dyno graph -

Image

93kw at the wheels can never be 200 hp at the engine, say with a 30% drive train loss it would be approx 132.8kw at engine (93 / 0.7), 132.8 = 177 hp (132.8 / 0.75 or 132.8 x 1.34), this is based on the assumption that drivetrain loss is 30% which i dont think its this high on a rwd car, thus the above figure is best case scenario. I believe 101kw at wheels is about 140kw at engine as when i was making 101kw at wheels i couldnt keep up with a bluebird sss attesa, of course it was 4wd so it got me off the line but it kept on pulling away when traction wasnt an issue.

well i think a dyno day would be good charlie cause i have no idea where my power is at, but i can haul ass against v8's and i beat a r33 gtst the other night. i need a better flowing cooler and some new pipes but i can do that once i find the right size cooler, i would like one the size of hoony's new one or there abouts just bar and plate style for more flow.

So organise away and we'll see what goes on!!

You sure you don't want one the size of mine? I will fit it for you :D

I will see how things pan out and when most if not all of the Sydney guys and girls have their cars ready. Would be good.
