hi, i'm goin to hobart for the weekend on the 25th of sep. just wanted to know, if anyone from the forum lives down there and if there is anything else to do down there apart from goin to the cadbury chocolate factory and cascade brewery?

I don't live down there, but the Port Arthur ghost tour at night is good.
Also, the drive up the east coast all the way to Launceston... I still rate the roads in Tassie as some of the best. Lots of tight 2nd-3rd gear corners - a whole string of them which you think will never end. Awesome - even in a rental Daewoo Lanos

Lots of very nice roads in tazzy. Take a cruise up Mt. Wellington, but watch out for black ice on the roads, a torago did a 180 at about 2km/h when i was there a couple of months ago. Port Authurs pretty cool, about an hours drive from hobart, or the same distance to the west there's the Hastings Caves, which are about 1km long and almost as high/wide.
