Catch a bus to Bendigo, go to the nearest Vicroads office and get a temporary permit. Drive it home from there, call it a road trip. Take a friend and some beer* (* or soft drink if you're a lowly P-plater)

that's what I'd do too, what a better way to get to know your new car, than to drive it all way home from Vic, (take a toolkit with ya) :D

And now the guy has actually said what's wrong with it.

Hmm, hard things to fix to get it driveable.....NOT!!! Put clutch fluid in and drive it to somebody elses house and use their water :roll:
