standard dump, hopefully to be changed soon, have you gotten round to getting a plate made up yet for a new dump will? The MT8 does not have any PC interaction, its all in the handset unfortunately.
I have not taken the head off the new motor, so i would assume its got normal comp pistons in it, what i did discover however after looking at mrb's site is that the 3 and a half pistons i have from my old motor ARE high comp, great. So if anyone needs 1...
Better off boost performance is just from the fact that its actually tuned right now, theres more advanced chucked in and its set up correctly, its more of a thing coming from shit to normal rather than normal to better.
Ill try my best to describe how the bleed is set up, normally a bleed valve is supposed to sit inline with the vacuum hose from the comp housing or somewhere near the turbo to the wastegate and because they have a restriction in it it will spike. However, mine is set up with a t-piece coming off this vacuum hose with another hose going towards the bleed and the end of the bleed is capped off. So this way the wastegate will only see the correct pressure, it will only spike as much as a factory system would.
Also if you remember its a TC05, 4000rpm is way too late for it to be spiking anyway, full boost is reached way before that.
Why TC05, well thats all i have at the moment, this is the first thing i needed to do in a long ling of mods, im actually keen to see how far i can go with the tc05 now as someone before, maybe daz i think, changed back to a tc05 when he put a decent cam in and said it still had the top end.
So I finally got the car tuned.....

Yes there was a power wall at around 4500rpm. The power rose up and then stayed steady after 4500rpm. But it didn't drop off in power and then start making power again as we can see on CussCuss's printout.

CussCuss - I haven't started on the exhaust yet. I have some wheel alignment issues to sort out first.

Found it under all the "excess weight" items that were lying on the garage floor. Cant say he wasnt thorough in his quest for removing weight :D

My dyno graph looked like a an upside down "J". It hit a wall at about 4,300 RPM and then started to decline. Darryl's car did the same thing, so did LXS'. I also just spoke to a guy who had a very similar problem using a different ECU and a differnt dyno and tuner - so that can't be it. I am pretty confident it's the standard camshaft.
I have previously also posted asking for people's inputs on the maximum power that they have made using the standard cam, and the invariable result was around the 150-160rwkw mark. In Cookie's case he upgraded the turbo and removed this restriction, however, he did have an aftermarket cam. Which once again points to the standard camshaft as the limiting factor.

well hopefully ill have a stage 2 or 3 RPW cam and vernier cam wheel in a month or so to see if it is that :D looking back at some old posts, darryl did indeed get rid of his wall with a stage 3 RPW cam.

NXTIME, even with the upgraded cam I still had a power restriction at 4500rpm. 150kw is all it would push with the TC-06. With the TD-06 the restriction is gone and the power is still rising at 6000rpm.
