10 Second Cordia ?
10 Second Cordia ?
I have heard unconfirmed reports that this Cordia ran a 10.9 second quartermile at a private track day at WSID on Saturday:
Car has been around for a while and has a twin cam engine in it. Previous best times by a street FWD was 11.9-12.0.

cyclon
Cyclone does run a 10 sec. He has an Evo engine in it. I saw it in the Hot 4's mag about a year or so ago.
Don't believe everything you read in such magazines :D
EDIT: I just had it confirmed, the green CYCLON Cordia ran a 10.9@123 MPH!

Yep, car was actually for sale a while ago for $15K
375Hp at the front wheels.
Has Twin Cam head, and DASH bottom end, Turbonetics T66 Turbo, modified gear ratios, not an Evo engine last time I spoke with the owner bout 3 months ago when it was for sale.
Also expect another Cordia, 'Project Chompa' with High stall Auto challenging the FWD Australian record with a 700Hp vr4 set-up, final drive ratio setup for 8.7 seconds quarters if required to beat the CRX :D

hahaha rofl hot 4's i HATE that mag!!! :x
its the biggest load of bullshit ever. man you want real times and real stats buy Zoom or Hpi or at least a magazine that doesn't have every second page as a full page advertisement for a body kit or neon lights or a fully sick sub. i fucken hate front wheel drive, chromed up, bass pumping, advertising, bodykitted, huge wing wearing, interior trimmed, airbrushed riceboxes!!!!
go for a magazine about go, not show... please. do us starion fans a favour....i think a lot of you will agree.

I have the hot 4's with that cordia in it, used to be red with black bonnet (which looked alot better, whats with the green :? ).
It did a 12.7 back then and the article just sez it was running a vanilla vr4 4g63 (forged pistons though).
Is a very nice car as the exterior and interior is all original and in very good condition. I don't think cordias need massive body kits and complete interior retrims to look good, just some better rims and lowered a bit is good enough for me.
And i was meant to buy his old wheels for my old cordia (speedy clublines painted white with marron pearl) but the guy "couldn't be stuffed with the postage" and ended up selling them for a fair bit less than i offered him :x

no more galant, no more turbo :( hello pimp magna :)
It just takes money to go that quick. Sure 10's are quick but I want my car to be a street car and that means reliability. I went to look at a wreck (decoy seen it) rego was SKITZ it had a VR4 in it 3 fuel pumps? surge tank(complete fuel set up) Haltech or Microtech, GT30 turbo. Custom cooler, manifolds, supra box, open wheeler
420Hp and flat 10's????? This car was DSTRBD's brothers. fully engineered too!
Aint it a bugga how we have a nice car but a heavy car? An RX-7 can have similar stuff done to it and comes out a lot faster down 1/4 :x
