and another thing you can do is make custom speaker box out of fiberglass and bolt them to the door pannel and if you take it off at some time you will not see the litle holes after some skerws

i even saw speaker boxes like that on ebay.com

Surely that would stick out too far because there would be nowhere to sit the magnet?

Aff on the pics man, good quantity and quality. That looks like a pretty decent setup, but are there any holes cut in the actual factory door trim? God i hope not! :D

How are they attached?

honestly, once you put speakers in your doors are you ever gonna take them out?? i doubt it, so it doesnt really matter if you put holes in the door trims cos the speakers will always be there to fill them.. and if you do take the speakers out, like if you were selling the car or something, then just buy some cheap speakers and put them in there.. (could even put sony/pioneer/what ever grills on them to make them look not so... cheap)

When you own a car as nice as the one in question, then any mods done should be able to be reversed, it helps maintain the car's value. These door skins are very very rare, as Eurotrash will testify to, so cutting them should be an absolute last resort.

Cheers for the pics Androoz, would be interesting to know what your uncle used to stick those pods on? There still must be some degree of surgery involved to run the wire etc?

he made those boxes by himself, with carpet from bunnings. they are attached to the door only by 4 screw holes.. would hardly notice them if ever taken out..

im not sure how he got the wires through to it though.. ill have to ask..

Would be cheaper to just hack my doorskins to bits and get them re-carpeted if I ever want them restored :?
