I've got one on my parts car...if I can get it off in one piece, you can have it for the cost of shipping.

We got the JA style bonnets on the 83 starion, but that's it. They're actually a pretty hot commodity, and look pretty decent on a widebody. We got the flat hood in 84 because alot of the US mags bashed the Starion for looking to cheesy and toylike, so they cleaned it up by removing alot of decals, hood scoop, ect...I'd be nice to import some, but i doubt it'd be practical once shipping was figured in.

which rear differentials do you guys need?

there are 3.90 LSD differentials for the 88-89 6 bolt axle styles ready to drop in here in the usa. I installed one on mine recently.

I guess i can check on the shipping cost if anyone is interested. you are looking at approximatly $600 plus shipping which i guess to be around $100. thats including the cost of a core ($100).

if you have to have the 4 bolt style i am sure the guy who is setting them up can get a hold those cores for you guys.

Are there 3.9 LSD centres for the 4 bolts? They are very hard to come by here.

the cases is the same, doesnt matter. you can put the 3.90s in either one.

but if you plan on actauly using the car for anything performance related, it will be a mistake to use the 4 bolt setup. thats why the guy who sells the 3.90s only has the 5 bolt setup.

Whats involved in swapping over to the six-bolt setup? Have a look at this picture and tell me whats needed :). 5 stud would be a bonus aswell, as far as wheel selection goes anyway, a set of 16" widebodys fats would look nice on a flat-sider.

1. the differential internals (larger splines)
2. the axles
3. the hubs
are different.

and they are heavy so it wont be cheap to ship them over. the rear differential without the torque tube is approximatly 60 lbs.

don't you guys have the 88/89 rear drivelines out in australia?

if not, then i think the shipping cost will be prohibitive to go with that.

I guess your only real option will be to put the 3.90 in the 4 bolt rear differential. go to this thread and contact HAZTOYS, and see if he can set up a few of those for you guys. I am sure it will be cheaper if you get a few sent over at the same time.

oh, sometimes he is slow to respond so be paitient.
