TOMSUN'S JB STARION - Updated 25.5.2014
Have been playing around with Garrett's "BoostAdviser" app.
Target power (crank) 380hp. Approx 300rwhp?
Capacity 2L
Pump fuel
12.5:1 AFR
BSFC 0.46
2 valves
VE 0.85
Mid power 4500
Max power 6500
Intercooler Air/air
Pressure drop 1 psi
0.7 eff.
Zip code 90120
Spits out
Required boost 27.75 psi
Recommend turbos
GTX2860R, GTX2863R (mine), GTX2867R
Should be interesting theory vs reality.

If you lose about 59kW from crank too wheels the gerbox and diff will probabley melt in a minute or 2 ...
But... with the stated pressure on a standard motor making 125 N/A hp you will end up in the 350-360hp region...
(With a twincam 150hp N/A and that pressure it would give some 430...)
But 8 valve is cooler!!! :D
Any "better cam" inside that one?
EDIT:
Found the cam is a Camtec Stage 2.
Is that the 278° cam?

The old cam was a camtech stage 2. New cam (installed but not run yet) is a camtech stage 4, duration 292. See page 7 for full cam specs.
As for drive train losses, people say you can lose quite a bit 10 or 20%.
Nothing is going to melt but heat is generated through the losses. Hence diff oil coolers for high hp cars and finned transmission cases etc.

did you mean 90210 for the zip code? ;)
the barometric pressure in and around sydney is between about 14.7 to 14.8, so you could use that for an ever-so-slightly better accuracy.

And what was the result of the Stage 4 cam, I'm looking to get a new camshaft so trying to decide which one!

Very nice, just had to re-read your list of modifications to see how you got there!

Actually this is a better dyno that was done back in 2014 with the same set up just with more timing. Note it only travelled 1,065km in 3 years. Most of which would have been driven to the drag strip and back.

This car is a fine template for what 'could' be done to a 2.0 sohc flatty staz. Heck of a job, Sir!
Camshaft swap wasn't single item back-to-back, but any thoughts on characteristics vs ?
Does the motor rev out & pull to 7000 rpm ?

Re: TOMSUN'S JB STARION - Updated 25.5.2014
Yeah, the stage 4 (billet) did help it to rev over the stage 2 (regrind). Others recommend a Ralliart? copy as a better grind for revs… I don’t know really.
