Should do, yes. They're the right centerbore and stud pattern... But I'm sure I've read that any sort of wheel spacers are illegal in Australia?

Yes they are illegal. Void your insurance.
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

Those ones, the way they've made them, yes. Stupid! The ones I've seen before use a wheel nut with a stud sticking out the end for the shared hole.

Ahhh, thinking about it, I reckon they just haven't photographed it very well. The stud in the hub for the shared hole is replaced with the longer one, then the spacer fitted with a low profile wheel nut, which the wheel goes over. There is then enough thread left on the stud to put on another nut, holding the wheel on.

If you look at the last photo the stud with the round end isn't in the spacer, you use it to replace one of the stud on the hub, its longer to account for the spacer.

For me, the only real reason you would convert to 5 stud is to use the widey wheels. Doing it with spacers, you don't get the brake upgrade
with slightly larger rotors etc. However with the 25mm spacer, widey wheels are out of the question really with a 18mm - 25mm = -7 offset.
A 15mm spacer would be more appropriate for a 16x7 (+18) widey wheel, resulting in a +3 offset.
You would generally need to use FWD wheels (<~26+ offset) out there which are plenty out there. Or any EVO Lancer and Magna factory 5 stud wheels...

For a JA staz with the standard wheel at 14 x 6in, strictly speaking you could only really go max 16 x 7 in NSW in wheel size.
I suppose using 5 stud spacers, it's a relatively quick way to dress up the staz with a set of easy to get fresh wheels.

Some would be, 18s or larger definitely, but 16s on JA and 17s on JBD you could get away with as long as the width wasn't too silly.

I have 17x7's and no spacers and 225x45x17 tyres that as near as dammit spot on same rolling diameter as the stock JB 15inch wheels and tyres.

You southerners have to remember that not every state enforces that stupid plus 2 rule like nsw does, and actually goes off rolling diameter, track width and whether the combo clears everything!

The only reason I would change to a five stud pattern is because V5 Simmons are a dime dozen. V4 114.3 are like rocking horse shit.

Ford pattern v5's are worth big bucks, I see datsun pattern v4s for sale cheaply quite often. Where are you looking?
