Starions increasing in value ?

Post by Vulpes »

Good to see two starions currently for sale ( excluding the wanker with the 50k price tag) around $20,000. Hopefully these will one day be actually worth more than they have been the last few years. Never understood why they weren't collectible. We obviously all love these cars for their uniqueness and quirkiness.

The rareness doesn't stop the greedy wankers Stateside buying up all the Starions they can to part them out to try and make a profit. They claim there isn't enough parts out there already, but that's just an excuse... PLENTY of used parts already to be had.

You guys not in the States would probably die if you saw all the widebodies being parted because people are lazy and greedy.

The problem is Rare generally doesn't always equal value.

If they were as popular as say the AE86, they would be a lot more value.

Personally, I don't think the black car is worth 20k, 10k max. Even though the mods have been done well/properly, its modified, so immediate de-value.

If it was genuine low km's, stock as the day it rolled of the factory floor & immaculate. Then you could ask 20k.

I actually meant to put that part in my post, but totally forgot.

I wouldn't say that they're appreciating in value at all.
At least not in my experience with the 3 entirely different models that I've sold recently. I've lost money on all 3 based purely on purchase price, not including any mods or repairs.
